It is really inspiring to know the success stories of a just 22 years old musician, rapper, audio engineer and many more tags as credits to a young man branded and nicked as JO-G. The creative genius is just spared to explain his creative inputs in glittering Pakistani POP-ROCK music industry.
JO-G whose original name is Shezan Saleem is the son of Pakistan’s pioneer pop music singer Saleem Javed who has been in the industry since 80’s. Being a multi-talent artist is easily acceptable for this “Stereo-boy” known as JO-G because he inherited versatility from his father. JO-G is well equipped to set new standards in music production and singing as he got professional coaching and acquired expertise from renowned Recording Arts Canada in Toronto. Probably he is Pakistan’s first youngest Audio engineer who completed his graduation from such a prestigious institution which has a long history to fuel Hollywood and other international production houses particularly with music minds.
JO-G is enthusiastic to set new trends in Pakistani pop music. Recently he has plugged in his creativity and highly technical expertise in Saleem Javed’s latest album DOSTI that has received a lot of applause from music listeners to critics. JO-G rendered his expertise as Rapper in many of the tracks and engineered all of the songs with the very latest techniques and technologies to meet the international production standards. Along with his technical inputs he was also given a place as a featured singer with his first solo song TU MERA DIL.
Likewise majority, JO-G was not as sure about his carrier till his secondary educations but impressively he was much clear-sighted and sure about his creative insight. He had got professional acceptance as a Graphics designer with a registered I.T business outlet even in his teenage. He had always a dream to be a soft ware engineer till his intermediate.
JO-G’s tilt towards music production and singing was not accidental or a chance story, as he was born in the home of a Pop-star, where he found hi-fi music instruments as toys. He had been with his father in many shows and recordings. His father always gifted him music instruments and appreciated his understandings of music. Moreover Jo-G was lucky enough to meet Pakistan’s competent musician as his father’s colleagues. The senior creative-mafia added fuel to his curiosities about music gadgets
The college boy, at then, learnt the basics and availed his habit of internet surfing for music. At then he came across his actual field that was Audio-engineering. He explored a vast margin to excel in computerized engineering of the songs, as at then in Pakistan mostly artists were dependent upon analogue music recording. JO-G had recognized his talent and genuine aptitude in recording and music production. He convinced his father for proper institutionalization to nurture his creativity. The caring father appreciated the idea and JO-G was in Recording Arts, Toronto, with a promise to his father, Saleem Javed, to not to release his next album until he would complete his graduation in Audio engineering and Music production.
JO-G, the lusty for knowledge, kept his eyes and ears open to acquire all possible learning of his subject within the tailored syllabus and beyond it. He made best use of the time and spent in Toronto and returned back with a brain saturated with ideas and possibilities in music recording.
On his return back to Pakistan Saleem Javed was at the final stage of his long awaited album DOSTI. JO-G, redone the production and engaged variety of music styles like Rock, RnB, Hip Hop and Rap with a mindset to cater many moods.
It was the fusion of calibers of Pakistan’s senior most pop singer and Pakistan’s first qualified Audio-engineer. Result was fabulous and it set new standards for voice encoders as well as decoders. The story does not end here as it is just the start of journey because JO-G has pulled up his socks for his solo debut exclusively for those who believe in good music. It is expected to out soon.
Here is a song called Lord have mercy thats brings alot of feeling. I got huge respect for his style of flow and the meaning of his words.
